Churchill Can Unite Ireland

London: Victor Gollancz Ltd., 1940. 1st Edition. Hardcover. This unusual wartime publication argues that the advent of war was Churchill's opportunity to complete unification of Ireland. The author's conjecture is certainly not mainstream. This is one of only two books specifically about Churchill and Ireland. Here is the first edition, near-fine+ in a very good+ dust jacket. The blue cloth binding is clean and square with sharp corners and no wear. The only blemish is a tiny ink mark at the bottom corner of the rear cover. The contents are clean and tight with no spotting. A single previous owner's name was inked and then scribbled out on the front pastedown. The bright yellow dust jacket is unclipped with absolutely no losses. The spine is lightly toned with some wrinkling at the ends. There are four small black stains to the blank rear cover that look like ink marks. The dust jacket is protected in a removable, archival quality clear cover. Bibliographic reference: Zoller A29.
