Winston Churchill Prime Minister: Some Excerpts from Wartime Speeches

New York: British Information Services, An Agency of the British Government, 1943. 1st Edition. Paperback. This is a booklet printed by the British government for distribution in the U.S. in 1943. It is in very good condition. The title is "Winston Churchill Prime Minister Some Excerpts from Wartime Speeches". The title page reads: "Published December, 1943, by / British Information Services / An Agency of the British Government / 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City, 20, N.Y." It numbers 52 pages (unpaginated). Each page bears a speech excerpt on the left and a photo on the facing page. It is 9 inches tall by 6.75 inches wide. The front cover is printed white and black on a maroon background and features a photo of Churchill standing aboard a ship near a port, smoking a cigar, leaning on a cane, and giving a victory sign with his right hand. The rear cover bears a photo of WSC and Clementine, in the stern of what looks to be a small pleasure boat.

There is minor wear along the stapled spine, folds and wrinkling at the lower front corner, and a 2 inch scar directly above the heads of Winston and Clementine on the rear cover. The contents are clean and free of ownership marks. An interesting wartime publication.
