Cape Town: T. Maskew Miller, 1917. First edition. Hardcover. Daphne de Wall was born in Cape Town in 1896, but spent most of her life in England. She produced several novels in the 1920s and 1930s, but before that she released two volumes of poetry, of which this is the first.
Condition is near fine. The khaki cloth binding is tight and clean, with bright gilt, slight shelf scuffing and a bump to the lower front cover corner. The contents are spectacular - improbably crisp, clean, bright, and tight. Moreover, they are printed on beautiful textured paper with untrimmed edges. There is no spotting and there are no inscriptions, only slight transfer browning to the endpapers. Item #003886
