Otto Landsberg 1803-1905
Cape Town: C. Struik (Pty) Ltd., 1974. 1st Edition. Full leather. Otto Landsberg (1803-1905) was a German-born artist who moved to South Africa with his parents when he was 14. He was a painter, art teacher and musician. His works were inspired by the masters of the Italian Renaissance. This "De Luxe Edition", in fine condition, is signed by the author and "limited to one-hundred copies", this being no. 51. The green pebble grain morocco binding is nearly perfect, marred only by a tiny spot of wear at the base of the spine. The profusely illustrated contents are clean, bright, and tight. A lovely production in every respect. Item #003938
